A Eco Industrial Park (originally this rendering was done for a western North Carolina Eco-village)

Yes, I see how my Raptor Domes™ of especially the 27, 32, 36 and our newest 42 foot diameter models can be used to create an ECO INDUSTRIAL PARK (EIP) that would follow the Ecodesign concept taught by Malaysian architect and pioneer in Ecodesign Ken Yeang.

Here is what I just read this morning concerning the new Industrial Ecology and Industrial Ecologists:

“The premise of industrial ecology is that modern industrial economies should mimic the cycling of materials in ecosystems throughout the processes of raw material extraction, manufacturing, product use, and waste disposal. Industrial ecologists view industries as webs of producers, consumers, and scavengers, and they encourage symbiotic relationships between companies and industries. The ultimate goal of industrial ecology is to reuse, repair, recover, remanufacture, or recycle products and by-products on a very large scale.” Eco Industrial Parks (Pierre Desrochers)

Here is what Ken Yeang says in his Ecodesign:

“For instance, if we are able to integrate systematically and assimilate ALL (my emphasis), the emissions and waste materials (solids, gases, liquids) from our industrial built environment HARMLESSLY (my emphasis) within the natural cycles and processes in the ecosystems without DISRUPTION OR IMPAIRMENT (my emphasis), then there will in effect be NO (my emphasis) such things as waste or environmental pollution.”

Yes, this is a tall order but I think on a SMALL SCALE Eco Industrial Park design it can come close to what Ken Yeang suggested!
