Hugh Simpson, (also MR Valentine- pen name), a descendant of Hugh The Templar of Ireland , is a serial entrepreneur, who began his long career as an entrepreneur back in 1973 after a career with Post Newsweek TV Group.

He is the author by both Hugh Simpson and his pen name of Mr Valentine of 19 books – the latest being God’s Reset.

His newest passion goes back to the days his Mom with a degree in interior decorating from Mary Baldwin in Virginia decided to open her own business as an entrepreneur in the late 1950s in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida.

Hugh thought about pursuing a degree in interior decorating but that never occurred until the COVID lockdown, when he studied interior design, Fung Shui and Waba Sabi.

He completed a Masters in Advertising & Public Relations at the University of Illinois and started a PR consulting business in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida in 1973 that culminated in Atlanta, Georgia in 2000.

Clients included: the late William Thourlby, the Original Marlboro Man; ultra marathon runner Stan Cottrell, doing his public relations for both his Guinness record events – Run Across America and China Wall Run; Novel Prize nominated serial entrepreneur and author the late Robert Taylor; world renowned sci-fi/pop convention DragonCon; and the late Paul Faso, official photographer for the Statue of Liberty Celebration.

Hugh co-produced and co-owned 10k event The Great American Footrace and SpyFest 2003 featuring over 60 real and fictional spies including 007 George Lazenby on the Queen Mary.

He also co-produced and co-hosted award winning Comcast TV series Today’s Health with guests like Dr. Oz.

Currently he resides in Franklin, North Carolina.
